If Everything Is Written, Why Should I Try?
Many people quietly ask this question.
If life is already destined, if everything is written in the Kundli, then why should I make effort at all?
It sounds logical at first. But in real life, this thinking often leads to confusion, delay, and inaction.
Because in astrology, destiny is not a fixed script. It is a timing-based flow of karma.
You Don’t Control Everything
There are many things you cannot control:
- timing of success
- delays in results
- sudden challenges
- external situations
These are often influenced by Dasha periods and planetary transits (Gochar).
A strong Dasha can open opportunities.
A challenging Dasha can slow progress or increase effort required.
Transits can bring sudden changes or pressure.
But none of these remove your ability to act.
They only change the phase you are living in.
But You Do Control Effort
No matter the Dasha or transit, one thing always remains in your hands:
- daily effort
- discipline
- decisions
- consistency
- attitude
This is your Karma, and it is never taken away.
That is why two people under the same planetary influence can still experience very different results.
Why Effort Still Matters
Consider a simple example.
Two people are in a slow career phase.
One stops trying.
One keeps learning and improving.
When a favourable phase arrives later:
- one is still stuck
- one moves ahead quickly
Same timing. Different response. Different result.
This is why astrology never promotes inaction.
It promotes awareness of timing and right action within that timing.
Astrology in Simple Terms
Astrology is not saying:
“Do not try, everything is fixed.”
It is saying:
“Understand your time and act wisely.”
In simple terms:
- Dasha = life phase (what kind of energy is active)
- Gochar (Transit) = current planetary influence (daily/short-term triggers)
- Karma = your response to that phase
Astrology explains the quality of time, not the absence of effort.
Teachings of Shri Krishna and Shri Ram
Shri Krishna’s teaching to Arjuna is very clear:
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
(Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachana)
You have control only over action, not over results.
This means results depend on many factors, but effort is always your responsibility.
Shri Ram Chandra Ji’s life reflects the same truth.
Even in difficult situations, He:
- accepts challenges calmly
- continues His journey with discipline
- takes responsibility for action
- follows dharma without hesitation
His life shows a simple truth.
Life is not about waiting for destiny to unfold. It is about doing the right action in every situation.
Final Thought
Astrology does not remove effort. It explains timing.
Dasha and Gochar may influence the speed of results, but they never cancel Karma.
If everything were completely fixed, effort would lose meaning.
But life clearly shows otherwise.
So the real question is not:
Why should I try if everything is written?
The real question is:
How should I act in this phase of time to get the best result?
Because in life:
Destiny sets the timing, but Karma shapes the experience.
